This past year, Jai Siwak and Deanna Stroud saw an opportunity to help so they decided to start donating food for school lunch programs in their spare time. After seeing what an impact they could make, they decided to keep the kindness train rolling and founded the Peg City Kindness Crew. Their follow-up initiative was to collect and deliver Christmas hampers to those in need. They started with a goal of 30, and ended up delivering 133 hampers!

Now, they are working on collecting backpacks filled with essential care items to distribute to the homeless population in Winnipeg, and cooking and delivering delicious homemade meals for those in need.

Winnipeg Kinsmen also donated a $1,000 grocery shopping spree to help them continue to feed those in need. They have a Facebook page where they post updates, and share their kindness journey with our city, so keep a look out for their latest initiatives and ways you can help them spread kindness.
